The good cause

The Hindustani & Queer Foundation strives for a world in which Hindustani queer people are visible and can freely claim and celebrate their identity. The foundation is committed to acceptance, emancipation and representation within the community, with an eye for intersectionality and solidarity with other marginalized groups. This is important because the Surinamese-Hindustani queer community in the Netherlands is small and often faces cultural, religious and historical challenges around identity and acceptance. Hindustani & Queer offers support, visibility and a community in which no one stands alone.
